Os The Strokes reconfirmam a sua presença no NOS Alive’22, no dia 6 de julho. A banda nova iorquina vai atuar no Palco NOS pela primeira vez.

A banda fez logo história desde o seu primeiro álbum, “Is This It”, lançado em 2001, que foi recebido com grande aclamação – tendo sido escolhido pela Rolling Stones e pela NME como um dos melhores álbuns de sempre – e singles como os estrondosos “Last Nite” e “Someday” que cativaram milhões de fãs. Seguiram-se “Room on Fire” (2003); “First Impressions of Earth” (2006); “Angles” (2011) e Comedown Machine (2013), que nos deram hinos como “Reptilia”, “Undercover of Darkness” ou “You Only Live Once”.

Os The Strokes são referidos como sendo tão influentes para a sua era como os Velvet Underground ou os Ramones foram em outra época, tendo influenciado bandas como os The Killers, Arctic Monkeys e Franz Ferdinand.

The Strokes joins NOS Alive’22! The New York band will perform on NOS Stage, on the first day of the festival.

The band soon made history from their first album, “Is This It”. The album, released in 2001, was received with great acclaim – having been chosen by the Rolling Stones and NME as one of the best albums ever – and songs such as the thunderous “Last Nite” and “Someday” captivated millions of fans. The albums “Room on Fire” (2003) followed; “First Impressions of Earth” (2006); “Angles” (2011) and Comedown Machine (2013), which gave us hymns such as “Reptilia”, “Undercover of Darkness”, “You Only Live Once”.

The Strokes are referred to as being as influential for their era as the Velvet Underground or the Ramones were at another time, having influenced bands such as The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand.
