Pip Blom is the latest confirmation from NOS Alive’19 line-up for July 12th at Sagres Stage. The Pip and Tender Blom brothers together with Dareck Mercks and Gini Cameron make up the Dutch band that debuts in Portugal in the 13th edition of the festival. The quartet presents the new EP “Paycheck”, which contains the latest single “Come Home” and also the other known themes of the fans, such as “School” and “Babies Are A Lie”.
Pip, founder and vocalist of the band, began writing, recording and launching her own songs in 2016, at only 22 years of age. His themes, of a very current indie-pop style, with very well-creed elements, began to have thousands of views, and requests for action were not delayed. What led her to form the band, which is now part of touring artists such as Franz Ferdinand, Surfer Blood and The Breeders.
The energetic spectacles of the Amsterdam quartet have quickly impressed the ears of the press and the radio. The prestigious Stereogum music magazine praised the debut single “Pussycat”, for the ostentation of the guitars, and praised the intensity of the vocalist on the theme “Come Home”. The Vice music channel praised Pip as one of the rising guitarists of 2018 and the BBC 6 Music included in his playlist the singles “I Think I’m In Love” and “Pussycat”.
